The project of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine “Inclusive model of sustainable development of rural communities in the conditions of the European integration perspective” (2017-2019) is aimed at the formation of an inclusive model of sustainable development of rural communities taking into account the existing socio-demographic, economic and environmental problems of rural areas. The basis of the project is the European experience of the formation of a modern human-centric model of rural development, which, unlike the traditional aero-centric one, ensures consideration of the interests and needs of the rural population, the possibility of equal access to public goods.

A team of scientists worked on the project: Professor Zinchuk T.O. (project manager), associate professors N.M. Kutsmus, V.E. Dankevich, O.D. Kovalchuk, L.M. Levkivska. and Usyuk T.V.

The national model of inclusive development of rural communities takes into account the peculiarities of the formation of the land market and the implementation of land relations; organizational and institutional support for the development of the community’s economy on the basis of cooperation, vertical integration and diversification; threats and risks to environmental well-being; natural charms of rural areas. Priorities for the further development of the economic potential of rural areas will be formed taking into account European standards of quality of life and social guarantees, gender equality, and the significance of the leadership potential of rural communities.
